An FFL transfer happens any time a firearm moves from one person or entity to another, and that transaction is processed by an FFL dealer to ensure it complies with federal and state laws.
You’ll need an FFL transfer when:
- You buy a gun online (from a website like GunBroker, Palmetto State Armory, etc.).
- You sell a firearm to another person and want the transaction handled legally and safely.
- You ship a gun to another person or dealer.
You must apply for and obtain a Permit to Acquire from Maui County Police Department before you can pick up the firearm.
We will contact you when your firearm is ready to be picked up.
TSGS will store firearms awaiting pickup from FFL transfers at no cost for 60 days. After 60 days, a storage fee will accrue at $50/month. When either 2 years have elapsed, or the accrued storage fees exceed the retail purchase price of the firearm, TSGS is authorized to sell the firearm as they see fit to recoup storage costs. TSGS may waive or discount these fees at their discretion.
